British ambassador in DR complaint about extortion, generates debates
The Dominican Republic minister Radhamés Jiménez instructed investigate British ambassador Steven Fisher complaints, about the country lacks security for foreign investment, and cited a company he said shut its doors in 2010, after being extorted by dominicans.
Fisher said corruption complaints also come from many Dominicans as well as local and foreign investors.
The Presidency’s Antinarcotics Adviser Marino Vinicio (Vincho) Castillo said it’s not ethical to say that companies came to invest in the country and then left, neither identifying them nor the officials who allegedly extorted them for bribes.
Justice and Transparency Foundation (FJT) president Trajano Potentini invited Fisher to channel his denunciation, and asked him to submit proof.
